This is the kind of experience Raison has to offer to you. This small town has everything which you can expect from a dream vacation. You would need to travel to Kullu in order to reach this place, from where it is located at a distance of around 20 kilometres. It is situated at a height of 1500 metres so you can expect chilly winds when you get here. This famous is popular for many reasons, one major reason is due to the camping grounds found here. Rafting is very popular in the region, as a matter of fact, it is considered to be the best destination to try rafting in India.

How to reach the place

Raison is well connected with road, rail and air. If you are coming here via railways then you would need to book your ticket to Joginder Nagar Station, from here Raison is located at a distance of about 150 kilometres. If you are coming here via roadways then you can take any bus which goes to Manali and Kullu. The buses going to these places will have to go through this Raison so you would get numerous private and public buses to reach this destination. If you are coming here via air then you would need to book your tickets for Bhuntar airport. This airport is well connected with major cities like Chandigarh, Kolkata and Delhi. Raison is one of the few places in India which manages to maintain its beauty throughout the year so you can literally visit here whenever you feel like. March – June is considered to be the best time to visit Raison because the weather is really good during this time and you can opt for doing activities like trekking or rafting. However, different seasons have different advantages and disadvantages. If you want to come here during winter then you should come here during the month of November – January. Best Places To Visit

As I said at the beginning of this article that Raison is like a dream vacation. There are numerous places which you can think of visiting when you get here. The entire region is surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayas on the side and on the other side, you would get to see the green belt surrounding this place. Since the major crowd puller in the region is Kulu and Manali so this place remains less crowded and it somewhat helps it in maintaining the peace and relaxing atmosphere. These are the top 3 places you can think of visiting in Raison:

1. Jana Waterfalls

The first place which comes to my mind when I am talking about the best places in Raison is Jana waterfalls. It is the most popular tourist attraction in this town. When you visit this waterfall, you would notice the snow-covered hills, trees and amidst of all of this lies the Jana waterfalls. The view of the town from this place is magnificent and would surely make you fall in love with this place. Make sure that you carry your camera along with you because you would definitely want to take pictures when you get here. Visit during these falls during July or August, during the monsoon the flow of these falls is really great and it looks really blissful during this time.

2. Dhaka Shedrupling Monastery

This monastery was inaugurated by Dalai Lama in the year 2005. This monastery is located at a distance of around 20 kilometres from Raison. The reason why I have mentioned this place on this list is because of the location of the monastery. Amidst huge mountains, this monastery looks like an incredible structure and makes you wonder how did the people manage to build a structure like this in the middle of these mountains.

3. International Roerich Memorial Trust

If you are interested in history or paintings then you cannot afford to miss out on this place. The complex was the home of Nicholas Roerich who was a Russian painter. If you visit this place you would be coming across a convertible Dodge – 6, a garden and a studio which focuses on Devika Rani who was a Bollywood star. It is located at a distance of about 20 kilometres from Raison. If you have been looking for a place which is calm and relaxing then you cannot afford to miss out on this place.

Though Raison doesn’t have many places for sight-seeing the ones it has are good enough to keep you occupied. Moreover, more than tourist spots this place is so beautiful that you just wouldn’t get tired of looking at this nature’s miracle. So, if you have been looking for a place which is relaxing and peaceful then you need to pack your bags and leave for Raison right now!
