Swami Vivekananda was an Indian monk. He belongs to the Hindu religion. But he is loved by all the people of India because of his thought and method to motivate people for a better life. Swami Vivekananda was born in a reputed family of Kolkata (then Calcutta). On 12th January, 1863 the world did not knew that they will be gifted with such a great soul on that day.
