Live your Dil Chahta Hai moment at Aguada Fort:
The Aguada fort was constructed in the early 17th century by Portuguese to protect their territory in Goa against any foreign sea based attack. The stone fort is a spectacular feat of engineering lies just next to the beach and got very famous immediately after the release of a Bollywood film Dil Chahta Hai, a scene of which was shot at this fort. Capture your lifetime moment there.
At sea level of the fort, there is a watering station and – in Portuguese, agua literally means water. This is how the fort got its name as Aguada. It is said that the water storage power of the fort was among the largest than other forts in the East.
The 4-storey lighthouse at the top floor of Aguada fort attracts a lot of tourists by being the oldest lighthouse in Asia, which was built in 1864. Even today, the lighthouse still performs a fine job to guide and help the ships along the sea line.
Visit Sinquerim Village:
Sinquerim village is a coastal village in the North Goa. The village has palm-lined roads that are dotted with the traditional Goan houses and Portuguese colonial mansions. Some of these villas and mansions are now converted in to the Calizz Museum to collect and store the history of this region.

The best time to visit Sinquerim beach is from November to February. For monsoon lovers, June to October is perfect weather to enjoy rain here.

By Air: Nearest airport is Dabolim which is around 37 km from Sinquerim
By Rail: The nearest railway station is Thivim, located at a distance of around 18 km
By road: The roads are good and very well connected. The capital city Panaji is about 13 km. Self-driven cars, cabs, taxis and bikes are easily available for rent.
Sinquerim beach is small, vibrant yet awesome. One can spend an entire day at the beach just by sitting and laying on the beach and getting tanned or just sitting in a shack and enjoying beer.
