Delhi Places To Visit In North India

 

India, a heaven’s delight when it comes to the mesmerizing chartered places is a destination worth visiting. Set against the backdrop of a historical quandary, with formidable forts, palaces and temples along supporting its scenic beauties, one could never find much fortitude than here.

North India, to be precise is what we’d be attending with keen eyes for today. The region where ancient history is paired with the modern clamors, it’s almost a top-drawer in everyone’s bucket list.

Gear on as we present the vibrant pleasantries paired with traveling whereabouts in our ‘North India and its Enchanting Places’. We’d be doing a segment of 5-places at a time in our pieces. So you could also cite this one as ‘Top 5 Places to Visit in North India’.

 

Let’s start off with the Golden Triangle, named in coordination with Delhi, Agra and Jaipur as its destination.

1) Delhi

Shouldn’t we start off our journey from the capital hub of the nation? Let head out from the first city en route to Golden Triangle.

Delhi has a mirage of ancient bearings adhering to its reigning power as the ancient capital under the rule of Mughals along with the modern-day prowess in form of New Delhi, the city’s subdivision. The city coincides frequently between the yesteryears’ past and the current modern amenities, thus giving us a sight to savor. There’s no end to top places that you can visit in Delhi on your course.

2) Taj Mahal- Agra

The second city en route to Golden Triangle is Agra. The city is privity to one of the seven monuments in the world, Taj Mahal.

As the tale goes by, Taj Mahal, a tomb was built on the banks of Yamuna River and took 22 years to finish it up. There were more than 20,000 workers working on the project at the time. It was built by Shah Jahan, the then Mughal Emperor in memory of his deceased wife, Mumtaz. The Taj Mahal is often accredited as Mumtaz Mahal.

3) Jaipur

When the talk of the planned cities come under scrutiny, Jaipur lays host as the first of the lot right from the ancient times. Built famously by the then ruler on the borderline of planning and architecture, the city has been touted as an ancient heritage.

The city of Jaipur is also part of the Golden Triangle and is perched as a top-drawer for tourists. It has fortresses and palaces sitting atop on the hills. The city offers tours, jewelry and the divine Maharaja Thali for seekers. Notable top places to visit in Jaipur involves the realms of Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Lake Palaces and more.

 

With the Golden Triangle completed, we’d be looking into a couple more of the enchanting places of North India down below.

4) Amritsar

Rightly accredited as the spiritual capital of Sikhs, Amritsar is a city worth visiting. The city was first founded by Guru Ram Das in 1577 and has been one of the titular cities of India till date.

The city lays host to Golden Temple, the monumental shrine of Sikhs. The temple has an imposing gold dome which gives it the name of Golden Temple. The temple is spread out over a wide area and features the largest Langar of the world.

One could further visit places like Jalliawallah Bagh and Wagah Border on a visit to Amritsar. These places hinge on the best places of Amritsar.

5) Shimla, Manali- Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh, a perfect destination for backpackers and nature lovers is the next one we’re attending after. The state lays privity to Shimla and Manali, among other famous places.

Shimla, the then British Era summer capital is a mesmerising city which harbours the enchant on nature’s paradise along with finely planned structure. You could further read along for the ride on Shimla over here.

Manali, on the other hand, is a traditional outing place with snow-covered peaks on top of the buzzing town. The town is famed for its apple orchards and scenic beauties. We have further reports on the trip to Manali over here. Do give it a shot.
