Located in a non-so-common region of Himachal Pradesh, this village, Jahaghi comes under the Chamba district. With a tehsil name of Mehla, here Himachali natives speak different languages including- Hindi, Dogri-kangri, Pahari, Bhattiyali.

This village is at a high peak of around 489 meters above the sea level which makes the beauty of this village even more beautiful than you can ever imagine. When you head towards the East exactly from the Chamba District headquarters, you can get to visit this village from the easiest path in no time.


The best places to visit and roam around Jahaghi are- Pathankot, Dharamshala, Chamba, and Dalhousie. No matter how beautiful Jahaghi is, but you cannot expect to enjoy readily available rooms to check-in here. For such leverages, it is always good to look up at Chamba where you can find out a number of hotels open to serve you. In case, you are not familiar with the native language of this place or village, going with Hindi can help you better. As far as the travel is concerned, reaching Jahaghi via rail is not really a convenient option as there is no railway station at least within the 10-15 km of this place.

The colleges nearby the village includes- Govt. Degree College Bharmour, Pangi Valley Computer Education Center, Govt. College Chowari, Govt. Industrial Training Institute Garnota and Govt. College Pangi.

To fuel up the souls of all the natives out there, this village has an iconically designed cinema theatre named as Lakshmi Talkies which is a perfect place to take you back to the retro world of Bollywood. Although you are required to travel a lot just to see a movie when you visit this theatre and witness its beauty, you can realize it’s completely worth enjoying a movie here.

And just in case you are on a spiritual tour, then here is a list of temples you can get to visit this village- Annapurna Mata temple, Hadimba Mata temple, Jalpa Mata Mandir, and Shiv temple. Undoubtedly, getting a hotel room would a bit difficult there but yes, you can try for it in the nearby hotels or motels for sure.
