Kerala: ‘Gods Own Country’

Yes, it’s called the Gods Own Country and this title doesn’t need any justification, as it truly deserves it. Located in the southern part of India, Kerala is an absolutely extra ordinary land. Since it is blessed with all the elements of nature, one would actually feel sitting in the lap of mother nature.

Nature is at its peak as this city, what makes me say that is because Kerala is snuggled between the immaculate waters of the Arabian sea on its west and lush Western Ghat mountains peaks on its east. To add to its beauty it is also surrounded by thick forest, intense set-up of lagoons and rivers, exotic wildlife, relaxing backwaters and beaches which have a long shoreline.

Do you know what does the word Kerala actually mean? Well, in Malayalam the term “Kera” means coconut, so we can even say that this place got its name quite naturally as Kerala is abundant coconut plants .So many even call Kerala the land of coconuts as you can find Coconut trees almost everywhere.
