Surrounded by the Himalayas, Didihat sits on a hill-top valley with the river “Charamgad” flowing below. This place is known to offer mesmerizing views of the snow-clad Trishul and Panchacholi peaks. Lush green high-low terrains encircle the town which is a real eye-soother and mind rejuvenator.
- The Shirakot temple: Didihat has a glorious historical background. Earlier this place was under the rule of Raika Malla Kings which was later overtaken by the Chand rulers. The Raika kings who built the temple of Lord Malay Nath, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, is still present and attracts a lot of tourists. There are few other temples and ruins of forts here worthy of a visit to get a glimpse of ancient art and history.
- The Askot Musk Deer sanctuary–
This sanctuary is a must visit location while you are in Didihat. Askot sanctuary aims to preserve the rare musk deer and also acts as a hub of other animals such as The Bengal Tiger, the Himalayan Brown bear, Barking deer, Indian leopard as well as various mountain birds.
Other nearby attractions include a hill station named /Berinag, famous for its Nag Temples and Narayan Swamy Ashram, which is just 8 km from Didihat.

The temperature of this place may drop to 1 Celcius in January. If you are fond of cold climate visiting Didihat in the winters may suit you. The onset or offset of winters offers the best views of mountain and land in Didihat
