1. Aksai Chin – Jammu and Kashmir

Well let me tell you this is a ceasefire line which separates the Indian controlled Jammu & Kashmir state from the Chinese controlled area. This place is actually known as the “Line of Actual Control” and is one of the most dangerous places across the world.

2. Silent Valley National Park – Kerala

Ever thought Kerala which is also known as “God’s Own Country” can have a place which can be immensely dangerous to visit. One of the major reasons of declining tourist inflow is because of the Maoist attack in this particular area. The forests of the Silent Valley National Park are bequeathed with the pure natural beauty, but again considered to be one of the most dangerous places to visit.

3. Manas National Park – Assam

Located in Assam, the Manas National Park is undoubtedly one of the most attractive wildlife sanctuary and forest reserves of the country. But do you know this National Park has been a home for many terrorist activities too! It is considered to be one of the most dangerous places to visit here.

4. Chambal River Basin – Madhya Pradesh

Since aged Chambal has provided us with some unmatched natural beauty. And this was quite well captured by the movie makers too. 5. Tura – Meghalaya

Heard of Tura? If not let me tell you it is absolutely amazingly beautiful. Picturesque landscapes, vibrant tribes, gushing waterfalls and eerie limestone caves describe Tura in words but there is another word which explains the darker side of Tura and that is terrorism! This beautiful little town has sadly been a prey of some notorious organizations, and has made Tura an immensely dangerous place for the travellers.

6. Haflong – Assam

Just in the heart of the NC Hills in Assam lies Haflong which is truly an enchanting hill. But apart from its mesmerising beauty this placed faces an major obstacle in the tourism sector by the militants of various terrorist groups.

7. Bastar – Chhattisgarh

Due to the rampant Naxalite activities Bastar has suffered a lot, despite of being home to the Indian Niagara Falls this place is immensely dangerous for the travellers. In fact the danger level is so high that Bastar is now even considered to be among one of those places in India that fall in the red corridor!

8. Phulbani – Odisha

The state of Odisha has been one popular tourist destination, bit this splendorous little town has a dark side to it too. Amidst picturesque landscapes and charming waterfalls Phulbani is sadly another place from India which falls in the red corridor, as it is affected by Maoists.

9. Nicobar Islands

Nicobar Island are untouched and pristine as no visitors are allowed to enter the tribal belts. But for research or other special purposes there are people who do enter. Unlike the Andaman Island, the Nicobar Islands are untouched from tourism.

10. Barren Islands – Andaman

The Barren Island in the Andaman and Nicobar owns the only active volcano in the entire country. This is one major reason why no one is allowed to go closer to these hills. Mainly due to safety reasons tourist are not allowed at this place.

Well I have no intention to discourage tourism with this article, but the only purpose of writing this article was to raise awareness about these unbelievably gorgeous yet Bizarre places In India. They are very much a part of the country but are sadly out of our easy reach.
