IndiaVivid is looking at contributors from each State of India as a contributor anchor to act as a nucleus/focal point for the State. People love to spend their leisure time at Amusement parks. People love to enjoy more at water theme parks. There is no age bar for such enjoyment. Kerala has many amusement parks and water theme parks. These amusement parks are very famous and having world-class amenities, hygiene and thrilling rides provided to the public. They have swimming pools, conference halls, dressing rooms, locker rooms, super deluxe restaurants and prayer rooms for all type of visitors. We will discuss some of the most popular amusement parks in Kerala.

Wonderla Amusement and Water Theme Park, Kochi

Wonderla theme park is located at Pallikara Kakkanad near Kochi city. It is around 18 Km from Kochi city located on a hill which offers an amazing view of the greenery around. It is the first amusement park in Kerala of this kind. Wonderla has ISO 14001 certificate which is the first in India. It offers the best experience for all visitors with world-class rides, hygiene, and eco-friendly atmosphere. Wonderla was started in 2000 and since then it has always come under the top three amusement parks in India. They have won many awards from all over the world. Wonderla has around 25 water rides and 35 land rides which can keep you engaged with fun and beautiful experience. They have many restaurants and food counters inside the premises. The 500-seat indoor musical fountain laser shows are very popular here. They have used most modern technology for it.


Vismaya Water Theme Park, Kannur

Vismaya water theme park is located at Kannur in a place called Thaliparambu. This comes under the Malabar tourism development cooperative ltd. It is placed near to famous Parashinikadavu Muthappan temple. In 2008, it was opened to the public. This water theme park is spread over 2 acres and it is has installed rain water harvesting. It is not only a water theme park but also an infotainment center. Here you can experience the effective waterfall and shows with latest laser effects. Tornado, cars, sky trains, pools, tide pools, jumping frog, giant wheels, swings, Aqua rail and many other rides are there.

Flora Fantasia, Malappuram

Flora Fantasia is located near Velachery in Malappuram district of Kerala. It is spread across 14 acres of land. This park has many restaurants, shopping facilities and shows with more than 40 rides. They have world-class infrastructure used in the water theme park. Flora Fantasia has a good 4D theatre and the Pushpak water ride which offers an exclusive experience. They have given special pools for ladies and play area for kids. Ample car parking is there where drivers can take rest. They keep check on pool water every day to make sure it is safe and hygiene. The management has taken clear measures to maintain the safety of visitors in this park.


Fantasy Park, Palakkad

Fantasy Park is located near the Malampuzha dam in Palakkad district of Kerala. The Park is placed with the backdrop of the mountains of Western Ghats. It was started in 1996 as a dry amusement park and by the end of 2002, they started water theme park also. Malampuzha dam and garden are one of the finest tourist spots in Kerala and these are located just near to the amusement park. Fantasy Park is spread around 17 acres of land. There are around 40 water rides and 25 land rides here. Merry-go-round, boomerang water ride, pirate ship, rain disco, waterfalls, pools, wave pool, dragon coaster and paratrooper are some of the popular rides here. Fantasy Park won the ‘Best Innovative tourism product of the state’ award in 1998.

Magic Planet Theme Park, Trivandrum

Magic planet theme park was inaugurated in 2014 at Kazhkuttom in Trivandrum. It is a museum of magic, one of its kinds in Kerala, at Kinfra Film and Video Park. It is a new idea to support the magicians who are there in the street and to promote the legacy of magic to the new generation. The concept is very good and it got the support from the famous magician Gopinath Muthacaud. You can experience multiple magical experiences at this park. This is could be a unique experience for all visitors. The famous Indian magic called ‘Indian Basket trick’ and ‘The Indian Mango mystery’ are very popular shows here. You can see the Magic gallery where you can explore the history of magic and magicians of every age from 1950. This park is built on 2 acres of land. Mirror maze, the flight of fantasy, kids’ rainbow planets and magical parades are some of the attractions in this theme park.
